This was once a suggestion. . .

Pearl made a suggestion to me a few months back and now I'm working in a place that's physically intensive, I am seriously considering on quitting smoking. I have cut down from a pack a day, to a pack every other day. I'm starting to feel better too. Granted that my body aches, and my feet feel like bricks, I have been eating better and I have started drinking a ton of water. I thought I was going to be a total wreck, but it seems that I'm handling it fine.
My supervisor gave me a compliment. He said that I have improved greatly in just the two days he's seen me. I'm learning quickly and I have picked up my pace considerable. Once I get into a rhythm and I am warmed up, I can work rather quickly in the sorting chute. I like it. I don't have to carry around a bulky scanner, and I don't have to worry about those cumbersome wrist bands that I had to wear at Fed Ex whenever I had to load a trailer.
Once my body gets into the shape that I'd like it to be, then I can start working on my Seto costume for the cosplay. I want to make I level off in the weight before I attempt to make the costume. I have the patterns already, I just have to wait for the weight to come off. No one likes a fat Seto. *laughs* I'll say this, I'll have a lot of muscle which should add to the masculinity of a sorts. I know this sounds strange to some, but I like the feel of being able to wear anything and get by with it. It's this ecentricity I have that I don't say to others often and especially to the people I know IRL. *sighs* Okay, the secret's out.

Date: 2007-07-19 01:59 am (UTC)I'm just the opposite. I usually have to be at work at 3:30 in the morning, so most of the time, sleep during the day isn't an option. I take Ginsana to help out with the energy and it works for me. It's a better alternative to caffeine.
Oh yeah, the activity. *cringes at the muscle aches* I wanted a desk job for a while and when I actually got one, I hated it. I missed the activity and the feeling that I did something productive. I guess there are different types of people to do different types of jobs. I guess my purpose in life is to do the labor intensive jobs for the time being.

Date: 2007-07-20 06:07 pm (UTC)Also, peanut butter and raisins are excellent brainfood. I found that out when my teacher handed out peanuts and raisins before a test, and I've been taking them before finals ever since! Great snack, too.
Plus, because I'm obsessed with all things Bosnian (for Q), I found that hummus is also Bosnian (it originally came from Turkey, not Greece). Hummus has half the fat and a quarter of the calories that mayo has, and it's great on sandwiches (instead of mayo)! Also, it's good for you! (Just avoid the brands that have nuts in them, which adds to the calories. My mom keeps buying that kind... silly woman.)

Date: 2007-07-20 07:51 pm (UTC)Yeah, a lot of "Greek" food comes from all over the Balkans. In fact, pitas originated in Bosnia, not Greece. Hummus originated in Turkey, but was brought to Bosnia through the Ottoman Empire.
I thought that the idea of applesauce on top of cottage cheese sounded disgusting until I tried it. It's very good! XD

Date: 2007-07-20 08:01 pm (UTC)Since I like both those things, I can handle that. I know that Pete won't like it, but oh well. *shrugs* He's too picky at times.
Thanks for the correction. It's still good though. *hands you sparkles*
