Self esteem starts with a thought. . .
Jul. 20th, 2007 09:11 amI was very skeptical that I wasn't going to do so well on the job, but I seem to love my work. I loved all the jobs I had, but nothing like this. I don't load the trucks, thank God for that, nor do I unload them, which is even better. I load the feeder chutes that the loaders use to load up the trucks. It's fast paced, but very good. I love this job. Eventually I will be learning more about the facility, but that will take some time. I can't wait to see my benefits package in 11 more weeks. (Yes, I'm counting the weeks down.) UPS has benefits that I have never seen before. It's entirely company paid and all I have to pay is the co-pay which is simply awesome. Granted that it doesn't pay nearly as much ad FedEx, but the environment is far better, and I am treated really well.
I have met the Regional Manager and he read my profile. At first I thought I was in trouble when he called me out to speak to me. I was so nervous. The most awesome thing was he told me something that I never thought I would ever hear, "Thanks for joining the team." I was told by the other employees that he doesn't talk to anybody. That was the part that frightened me. He reminded me a lot of Seto when he spoke. Boy, I never saw that one coming. <_<.
I am such a great mood today that I feel like wrapping up my projects. WooHooo!!!
